Autumn Fields

Artist Statement
As a conservation artist I’m constantly striving to connect the viewer with nature. In this piece, I want the viewer to feel that they are walking into autumn, the air is crisp, the landscape glows.
As a western conservation artist and expressionistic/Fauvist painter, I paint in bright colors, not tied to representational colors in nature. Living where the high desert meets the mountains, I am passionate about the west, conservation, balanced land stewardship and animals, both domestic and wildlife. Through my art I explore the connection of habitat and the increasing pressures of climate change and shared land use on the success and survival of species.
