Artist Statement
I like to paint scenery from around Idaho that makes me stop in my tracks when I’m out walking or hiking. One fall day, I approached this little creek with the sun hitting it just as you see in the painting. I took some photos and worked on this piece in my studio. Some rocks were added, some were deleted. Otherwise, you’re basically seeing what I saw and what stopped me.
