Artist Statement
Wild horses are considered to have a wild herd mentality, which seldom leaves their personality. Stubborn, but when there is an attraction, gentle nature of friendliness and curiosity appears. Both horses were caught in the moment of enjoying an instance of acceptance. The Artist’s painting reveals such an intimate attraction in the Owyhee mountain range in Idaho.
My passion is painting expressionist compositions having a direct impression on a viewer. Each inspiration comes from many places previously lived, the American Southwest, Mountains of the Northwest, and the culture of Italy. My unique style captures the whimsical essence of the landscape or the personality of the animals. I draw the viewer into the excitement of the composition’s specular hues of intensive color and generate a sense of emotion.
