Artist Statement
On a roiling geologic landscape, fumerole systems vent hot, toxic underground volcanic gases — definitely hotspots in more than one sense of the word.
Idaho’s deserts and canyons are the canvases/pedestals for outstanding geologic and topographic art. I steal the reality and convert it into abstract imagery.
