Artist Statement
This painting is an acrylic pour on gallery wrapped canvas, 12″ x 36″, with a gloss finish. This is my latest composition and it was a joy to create. I find acrylic pours to be my favorite medium. It can be subjective, very forgiving and often beautiful. “”Koi Dreams”” reminds me of water flowing over rocks in a Koi pond. I imagine Koi fish dream of such a place.
I am a local artist whom works primarily in acrylic pour medium. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts and can fondly remember spending time at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in my youth, exploring a world of art that was exciting and colorful. I’ve learned that art is messy, subjective, very forgiving and with good technique comes the honor of a beautiful creation.
