Artist Statement
My rendering of this out-of-the-way pond gives witness to a landscape artist’s thoughtful planning and execution. The landscape had much in the way of nearby enticing competition. However, upon encountering this rocky spot, I immediately had the desire to capture it with my brush. This quiet piece of ground now has to its credit at least two artists who found joy in their plein air creation at the “River House” in Star, Idaho.
