Artist Statement
“Mellow” the word, has several definitions, including “having the gentleness often characteristic of maturity.” In my Crowsnest River painting, I contrast the gentle warmth of mature life with the coolness of glacier-fed waters in the Canadian Rockies. It’s a reminder of the cycle of life alternating with death—then life again.
