Artist Statement
A view on the road to the Snake River, southwest of Pullman, WA. I promised myself an evening paint-out at the first stunning vista that called to me on my drive, which did not take long to find.
I work on location and from life whenever possible, celebrating natural and man-made forms and patterns. My favorite subjects are from personal experience, celebrating the special places and creatures that nurture curiosity and inspire joy. Though my artwork varies in subject and media, a central theme is to rejoice in the preciousness of our world.
