Artist Statement
I wanted to bring together many ideas when I started this painting:
I was seeking peace, quiet. There’s no more natural way to destress than to watch fish. Bright color makes me happy. What’s more colorful than tropical fish?
And as we carry tension while conflict grows between people these days, tropical fish, so different from each other, demonstrate harmonious living.
