Artist Statement
My artwork reveals itself during the process of layering paint, texturing, sanding, scraping, and drawing on to the surface of the canvas. The use of color, shapes, and lines are part of the visual language used to dialog and interpret the unconscious. The images are built one on top of another speaking of ambiguity and veiled meanings of nature, and life.
I was born in California and resided in the San Francisco Bay Area where I attended the California College of Arts and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting and drawing. To further my studies, I attended the Academy Of Art University in San Francisco, and graduated with highest honors, earning a Masters degree.
Currently residing in Star ID, I am living the dream with the best of nature’s wonders.
