Artist Statement
I found myself creating art during a time when I was experiencing extreme sorrow, while watched my mother’s health deteriorate, up until her death.
The experience of creating art was very therapeutic and the only thing that would calm my emotions. While painting I could think clearly. It helped me through a very rough and sorrowful time in my life.
It is still therapeutic.
However, creating art has turned into my passion today.
