Debra Curry is catching up! She cleaned out and reorganized her studio. Then painted a dahlia from her photo shooting trip to the dahlia fields in Swan Lake, Oregon last year and FINALLY finished a painting she started over a year ago.
Debra found an old black and white photo taken about 50 years ago of her cousin being baptized in the Trace Fork river in WV. She doesn’t typically paint people and this one is a bit more abstracted. But it brought back some neat memories from her childhood. This one is titled, “Testify”.
She has started to finish a landscape she started a couple of years ago – a really nice pond on the way to Cascade with a few lily pads. We’ll see how it all goes!
