Call to Artists: The Return of the Red Caboose

At the Nampa Train Depot Museum

A TVAA and NAC Juried Show

The theme as requested by our hosts, the Canyon County Historical Society, is for art pertaining to the history of Canyon County – and they remind us that History is as recent as yesterday! (Be creative in interpreting how your work might fit with this show—don’t be intimidated, or too literal!)

We will have a wire grid display in the Ladies’ Waiting Room of the Nampa Train Depot Museum of accepted original artwork. The show will open June 22 and hang until August 5. There will be a closing reception on Saturday August 4, time TBD, and art pick up right after.

During the main event on June 22 & 23, we will have a pop-up tent outside in addition to the show inside.  We can sell prints, greeting cards, any “smalls” that you would like to display, as well as information about TVAA to share with the public . The theme inside doesn’t necessarily apply to our booth outside, but only “family-friendly” art, please.  They are expecting a good attendance, so it’s a great chance to meet a lot of people and talk about your art.

The museum hours are Thursday through Saturday 10AM-3PM.  Admission at the door, except for June 22-23.

Important Dates:

  • May 17 – Submissions open when posted
