Artist Statement
“Deal kindly with one another,” Carl Sagan. The pandemic has physically separated us but at the same time brought us closer together. Love, caring and concern for each other has prevailed above the feeling of alienation. We are so fortunate to have connections by cell phone, and the internet. They don’t replace the in person hugs but do keep us connected in a positive way. Our loving pets also help to fill the emptiness. I have faith this pandemic will end soon and a vaccine will be developed. In the meantime, “Deal Kindly with One Another.”
Artist Bio
My passion is color and oil painting. The result is hundreds of canvases I’ve created over the last 45 years. Most have been sold through galleries in Arizona, California and Idaho or through my web page – RenaVandewater.com. I’m included in many public and private collections across the United States and a few in Europe. My ideas spring from life: traveling and living on a farm. After my children were grown, I went back to school and earned a Masters of Fine Art degree. My work is harmonious and uplifting with a strong presence of atmosphere and intensity.
