I Don’t Know the Way
Acrylic on canvas
To connect with others personally we may need to communicate our vulnerability. We can express our vulnerability by simply saying, “I don’t know”, “I don’t have the answers”, and “I don’t know what to do.” This colorful abstract explores this vulnerability. It shows the feelings of when we don’t know where to turn, which way to go, and what to do. 2020 was a year of lots of “I Don’t Knows”. I believe as I share my vulnerability with you in this piece I feel less socially distanced and more connected to you.
Katie Wells enjoys painting in acrylics and oils. She has interest in painting abstracts, landscapes, and portraits. Her degrees are in graphic design and communications, but now focuses her attention on fine art painting. Her colorful abstracts emote feelings of calm, and other human emotions. Her inspiration comes from the joys and sorrows of life, and the Idaho landscapes where she calls home. Katie creates art because it soothes her, teaches her, and allows her to process her human emotions onto canvas. Katie is just beginning her artist career, but is excited, humbled, and eager to learn and create.
