Artist Statement
Neighborly chatter waned as the Moon, on its expected trajectory, started covering the Sun. As the morning twilight deepened, the temperature dropped perceptibly. No breeze blew; no birds flew. We were mesmerized by the overwhelming silence, not grasping the bigness of it all. After it was over, the ozone was suffocating, and everything took on a bronze tint, a silver glow. Colors were super-saturated, as was my mind. Familiar spaces took on new shapes because of it being dusk at 1 in the afternoon. I had clearly been messed with by the Moon.
