Artist Statement
My eclipse adventure led me to experience a solitude. My feelings were that much of the nation was driven towards pensive apprehension. I personally sought solace. I was overdue for an emotional release. I yearned for that moment of stillness. Gray, dark, and then still. It was as though a reboot had occurred. Something in me took hold, confirming a familiarity. Soon after the Sun was shining as bright as ever!! The eclipse renewed my spirit to paint this series of artwork.
