I am fortunate enough to live out in the country and I was able to experience the eclipse at about 99.8 percent. I gathered my whole family and we shared each others excitement. I felt a huge surge of joy and hope afterwards. I was raised in Tucson as a little girl and the Kokopelli was a huge part of art relating to the moon. In this painting I combined the vast beauty of Idaho and the passion of the southwestern moon. The second entry called, Dark side of the moon, is connecting to the very femaleness of the moon.
