About the artist
A graduate of Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in Art Education, Tina Pittman is a lifelong artist and current High School art teacher. Experimenting with various artistic media is the basis of her sculptural practice, combining found items, and recycled treasures that she scavenges on her daily walks or discovers in thrift stores. Textural findings such as rusty metal meld with traditional sculpting materials like clay, plaster, wood, and paper to create innovative forms. Inspired by surrealism, disparate items are combined in her 3 Dimensional work to create drama and intrigue.
