My favorite part of spring is the bees. They fly around doing diligent work for their hive community and at the same time do so much work for us. As a gardener, my success in the garden is much attributed to their pollination. In return, I grow so many different flowering plants interspersed among my vegetables to ensure they have good, organic pollen to take home. I love walking through my row of lavender plants full of bees and watching them work. They seem to know that I love them and are happy in my garden.
I am a dedicated artist in love with bright colors and all the beauty that the world holds. A self-taught artist, I have been focused on painting expressionistic and impressionistic animals, portraits, and landscapes, with a few cityscapes as well. In my art I am driven to capture the essence of a place or personality of a person or animal. I am inspired by many artists, but most recently by the work of the famous animalière artist Rosa Bonheur, and the German Bauhaus movement from the early 1900’s.
