Artist Statement
This piece is from a series of 30+ works. I am exploring the fascinating and infinite underworld of bugs. These images are under-laid with my new passion for metal-leafing, applied on rich colors (such as purple) which promotes the precious qualities of these under-sung creatures.
Claire makes art, mostly painting, but anything else is fair game as well. She loves whitewater, old funky things, animals, gardening and exploring in both nature and art media. She is also an architect, specializing in residential design, splitting her time between Boise & McCall.
