Artist Statement
A piece of me is simply my long, shiny hair. My best friend of 30+ years calls it my “Signature Hair” because for the majority of my life, it’s always been long and straight. For this piece, I wanted to use a variety of color, joined together with rivets, one of my favorite fabrication methods.
Artist Bio
I first took an interest in jewelry making my senior year of college. A few years after graduating, I acquired a complete starter bench set up and began making jewelry as a hobby. I would make pieces for friends and family, inspired mainly by their character. I have a tendency to create pieces with fluid, sweeping lines and sharp points, frequently incorporating spheres, domes, or pearls. The best advice I have been given is to make what I enjoy, and I’m grateful to be doing just that!
