Artist Statement
In this expressionism painting I choose blues and rust and green to balance the commotion of people and noise surrounding a meal in a crowd. Some find it stimulating while other withdraw. I picked soothing colors for me.
I paint that what speaks to me and to bring the viewer into an intimate moment.
Sometimes I like realistic, sometimes abstract and sometimes whimsical. I love color and work primarily in acrylics but I also enjoy mixed media, sculpture and pastel.
I paint wildlife to start a conversation and bring awareness to their plight.
I have no formal art training so my work has evolved in an entirely self-taught manner.
