Artist Statement
Blank page book/journal. The covers are book board collaged with decorative paper, the signature pages are copy weight paper folded purposefully to extend beyond the covers. Colored eyelets over the binding holes. Waxed cotton thread is used for the binding which is a multi-needle coptic stitch.
I make one of a kind artist books using all kinds and weights of paper for the pages and to cover the book board for covers. I often use collage on covers or in content of the books. Bindings are usually done using waxed linen thread, but I experiment with other types. Stitching by machine or hand is often incorporated along with other embellishments.
