A guest for breakfast

Across the road from one of my favorite camping spots it’s a place I called the breakfast nook. A flat spot in the trees with beautiful wildflowers, it is often the place that warms up a little bit earlier with early sun. One day while I was working on photographs on my laptop and having breakfast, this beautiful little Rufus hummingbird showed up to feed in the Indian paintbrush. The first day she kept her distance. The next day a little closer. After a few days she decided to rest on a tiny branch and pose.
Nature has always been my therapist. I love to spend time sauntering through beautiful scenes. Photography allows me to capture the moments for myself and share them with others.
