Artist Statement
I’ve noticed that when picking out a site for camping I gravitate towards those bordering water. Drama of opposites occur in these areas of flow-state” : gracefully dancing grasses of the earth, meditative auditory music of water, sensory breezes of sky. The greatest contrast of all is during autumn when the warm colors of forbs and vegetation contrast with brilliant blue of sky and streams.
My paintings are predominately landscapes. They represent places where I feel most like a better version of myself.
