Artist Statement
I am so fortunate to live in Boise with its many opportunities to experience nature. My walks along the greenbelt never fail to provide me with many sensory experiences. This particular composition focuses on the contrast of a pool of calm water on the horizontal river edge syncopated with stones and the repetition of the light values in the vertical forest trees .
My paintings are predominately landscapes. They represent places where I feel most like a better version of myself.
