Sunflowers Are us
Watercolor, 16″ x 20″
Sunflowers hold many sweet memories for me. My father’s favorite flower, and the only one I believe he ever talked about with me. End of summer flower, that dots the fields and barrow pits. A favorite of the impressionists.
My paintings celebrate the interaction between nature and humans. We are connected to nature and have to be in it to survive. I celebrate humanity through painting plein air daily life in the treasure valley and beyond. I was juried into the St. Alphonsus Art Wall, four Boise Weekly art covers (2016-2019), and the Art and Soul of the Magic Valley event, Twin Falls, amongst other juried exhibits. Grateful for the opportunity to make every day a good day.
