Jim Torzynski

About the artist

When I was a kid, I imagined I would become the world’s greatest Trompe-l’œil illustrator. After 50 years as an artist, I think my strengths lie more in Plein Aire painting, especially in the Heiner Hertling School. Here’s a plein aire Prismacolor sketch from the mid 1990’s, when I lived in The Yosemite Valley…Half Dome from the Ahwahnee Meadow. All my life, everything I have made or built has been an Art Project.
