Artist Statement
Hyperbole is used in this painting to show the lotus exaggerated in size for all of us to grow – in this case through yoga which I practice five days a week.
My paintings celebrate the interaction between nature and humans. We are connected to nature and have to be in it to survive. I celebrate humanity through painting plein air daily life in the treasure valley and beyond. I was juried into the St. Alphonsus Art Wall, four Boise Weekly art covers (2016-2019), and the Art and Soul of the Magic Valley event, Twin Falls, amongst other juried exhibits. Grateful for the opportunity to make every day a good day.
