Sun through the storm clouds
Archival pigment inkjet print
Sunlight pierces the storm clouds, while the trees lean towards the solar energy that they depend on. Meanwhile, the drama of the brewing storm demonstrates the impact of that solar energy on water vapor in the atmosphere.
I am originally from the United Kingdom and moved to Boise in 2019 after living in Anchorage, Alaska, for nearly 30 years. Fine art photography has been a lifetime passion. In Alaska I initially worked in the oil industry, but entered a career as a writer and journalist in the late 1990s. My wife and I have retired to Boise, where I am continuing to pursue my interest in photography. I do a variety of styles of work, to capture my feelings about the world through street photography, documenting cultural issues, and scenes in nature.
