I love textiles, I learned to crochet from my grandmother. My mom sewed so I learned that as well. I became a DIY early in life making clothes, gifts, etc. I was told that my father’s grandmother was a quilter even though I hadn’t learned that yet. I did later. But I really turned a corner when I went to the Los Angeles County Fair during the late seventies and there I saw a woman demonstrating spinning and weaving. It was a blend of making textiles and living history and I’ve been there ever since.
