It was a drizzly morning and an urge to organize my paints struck out of the blue. While sorting through various tubes and bottles, the blues kinda-sorta ganged up together and VOILA! came the inspiration to do something blue. Happy blues, vibrant blues, unbalanced but compatible blues. OK, some other hues stepped in, but together they formed — at least for me — a most celebratory accumulation of lightness, brightness and harmony. Behold Bedazzled.
Seattle native. Los Angeles for too long. Self-taught. I paint like I cook — with passion and some precision — valuing the roles that color, texture and movement play in a finished piece. I like harmony with some surprises thrown in. I volunteered at the Braille Institute in LA for years, teaching ceramics, fiber arts and collage to blind and partially sighted adults, an incredibly humbling experience. I’ve enjoyed being in numerous shows/exhibits in Idaho since 2015, and am pleased that my art is in private collections across the United States and that I serve on the Meridian Arts Commission.
