Artist’s Statement

As I thought about this year’s garden, I imagined all the vegetables I’d like to grow. In this image, the Cabbage Queen carries a bouquet of vegetables, some rising aloft like vegetable balloons. Her hair is threaded with nasturtiums; her dress is covered with flowers. 

Artist’s Bio

I grew up on a farm west of Boise and have always loved growing things, especially flowers. All of my imagery reflects my connections with the land and our incredible luck to have been born here.
