Barbara is an artist living in Boise, Idaho. Barbara’s 15 years as a professor of horticulture are reflected in the plant forms, natural textures and flowing lines of her designs. After another 15 years working as a studio artist, primarily working in metal and vitreous enamel, she discovered clay.
While most of her work is in now in clay, she continues to make objects using vitreous enamel, metal, and fiber. She continues to love fire and hammers, but is also smitten by the responsiveness and unpredictability of clay and the firing process.
