About the artist
Barbara is an artist living in Boise, Idaho. Barbara’s 15 years as a professor of horticulture are reflected in the plant forms and the natural textures and flowing lines of her designs. Until recently, she spent 15 years working vitreous enameling and metalsmithing, inspired by the smaller canvases of personal adornment and small sculpture.
More recently she has been drawn to the ancient medium of clay. After her first clay class at a local community center where she taught enameling, she was newly smitten with this medium. “Besotted” might be a better word. And so the journey continues.
