Artist Statement
Blue is the color of the blues, but also peace, tranquility and serenity. I find great peace in the Boise foothills and this is one of my favorite places on the Oregon Trail, Boise, painted plein air.
Artist Bio
Mary Gardiner is a Boise plein air painter, a native of New South Wales, Australia, who has lived in Virginia, Washington, and Idaho, and naturalized as a U.S. citizen while living in Idaho. Her “Boise Blue” painting reveals the dramatic contours of her beloved Idaho.
