Artist Statement
This is an idea of my grandparents taking a stroll. They lived in Kentucky and he was the Sheriff who also made and sold moonshine – at least that was the story that was passed down. Blue is the color of reflection and to me it represents family and connection across generations.
Artist Bio
Gary Don McCall is a plein air painter who was born and raised in Idaho and has traveled the world. Gary believes every painting has a story, painting everyday life – seeking to reveal perfect imperfection and a connection to what is quintessentially American and human.
