Artist Statement
I created this piece in layers starting with collage on a cradled panel. The focus of the piece changed as I added paints in mostly shades of blue, marks and more collage. Trees were created using transparencies and stencils. Memories were created using grandma’s house and the Crall family farm. My memories of these places were happy moments with lots of blue skies, large gatherings and lots of laughter. I always try to hide a greeting from my mom in each piece I make.
