Artist Statement
Blank page book/journal. The front and back covers are made from decorative handmade paper with hand stitching along the borders. The signatures are made from cardstock. Decorative elements of gold eyelets and cord closure. The binding is a French Link stitch, metallic cord was used.
I make one of a kind artist books using all kinds and weights of paper for the pages and to cover the book board for covers. I often use collage on covers or in content of the books. Bindings are usually done using waxed linen thread, but I experiment with other types. Stitching by machine or hand is often incorporated along with other embellishments.
