Artist Statement
My work is construction – I build art. I use almost anything, in this case it is ink-dyed paper. Texture, fractured tearing and intense color create the form. Form is often abstracted geology.
My intent is to throw nothing away but instead to salvage and reform it. The problem is to reshape Cast-off into something uniquely Other. The solution is the reward. If we don’t create the problem, then we cannot create a solution.
