The deadline for Foray III has passed and we are no longer accepting new submissions.
Our next exhibit after Foray III will be in March 2014. We will announce more details soon.
Calling all TVAA members to bring out your best work! It's that time again. For the third year in a row we will be featuring one piece by each member artist in an exhibition in the offices of Boise State Public Radio. The theme is up to you. The medium is up to you. The size, content, perspective, concept, all up to you. Just give us your best!
You must be a TVAA member in good standing through the dates of this exhibition in order to participate. Click here to join now if you are not yet a member. Artists may submit up to three digital images of original work(s) beginning September 12, 2013 with the deadline of November 22, 2013. Please include artist's name, title of work, medium, dimensions for each artwork, price if for sale, as well as the artist's contact information.
Acceptance of Work
In accordance with TVAA's mission of inclusion this show is not juried, but will be curated by the Exhibition Committee. Any current TVAA member submitting images by the deadline will have one artwork (with appropriate hanging devices) in the show. Artwork selected for the exhibition must be available from the drop-off date through to the pick-up date. Substitutions will not be considered. If you think there will be a conflict in scheduling a particular artwork, please do not submit that piece. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to exclude any artwork for any reason, including not being appropriately prepared for installation.
Each accepted artwork should have an appropriate hanging device attached. Click here for information on professional framing and appropriate hanging devices. If artwork is heavy, please make sure hanging device is suitable for weight and appropriate for sheetrock. Pieces without appropriate hanging devices will not be installed.
Delivery of Artwork
Accepted artwork must be dropped off at the offices of Boise State Public Radio (BSPR) at 220 E. Parkcenter, between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Monday, December 9. All artwork should be labeled on the back with the artist's name and the piece's title. This is important for properly identifying each piece as signatures are sometimes hard to decipher. Artists will also be required to sign a release upon delivery of work.
Artists may provide email contact information for contact by potential patrons. Artwork for sale will have the works labeled Value $____. Any work not for sale will be labeled NFS. When the show comes down if the work has sold, artists are encouraged to donate 10% to TVAA and 10% to BSPR, retaining 80% of the sale themselves. Sold work must remain on exhibition for the duration of the show and will have a "red dot" on the label indicating the work has been sold. Purchases must be arranged by the individual artists and their buyers. Neither TVAA nor BSPR will handle any sales.
