Reham Aarti

I work in mosaic because I love the feeling of creating beauty out of random things.  With every mosaic I make, I am filled again with the understanding that in this art form, as well as in life, all the pieces that make up the whole are equally important in the final picture.

To read more about me or see examples of my work please go to my website.

Janet Al-Muradi

I am a daughter of Mesopotamian societies.  I was taught and raised on tales of Gilgamesh. My grandma and the surrounding nature inspired me to become a sculptural artist.

I have been a sculptor, painter and teacher of art throughout my life and I am happy to be able to continue my work in the Treasure Valley.

Zella Bardsley

My work in sculptural mixed metals and mixed media is celebratory in theme.  My intent is to convey that life is meant to be an adventure, filled with the various emotions we are gifted with. My work is completed with an oxygen/ acetylene torch, plasma torch and MIG welder.  My current work incorporates mixed metals, perforated metals, stoneware and other mixed media for more texture and dimension.

Christine Barrietua

I have lived in Idaho all my life. The unique natural  beauties found within our state have become very much a part of who I am and are reflected in the ceramics and paintings I create. Living in Idaho provides me with artistic inspiration, which in turn is closely related to nature.

I use multimedia painting techniques on my large ceramic sculptures as well as in my paintings.

Melissa "Sasi" Chambers

Sasi is an artist who paints everything.  What? Click here.

Marilyn Cosho

My art provides a window into the world of Asperger's Syndrome, a condition on the autistic spectrum.  My work consists primarily of mixed media collages, drawings and photographs.

I am particularly fond of string and much of my work deals with fragility and the feeling of becoming entangled and/or unraveled.  I also make fairy chairs out of twigs.

John Dosch

I am new to Idaho. I recently moved to Boise from Watertown, South Dakota. I have a bachelor of Science Degree in Art from Northern State College, Aberdeen, South Dakota. I retired from the Army National Guard in August of 2007 and I have been working in mixed media and relief sculpture since then.  In many of my pieces I use heavy hand-made paper attached to hardboard or stretched canvas.  I work with natural textures and elements such as sisal, seeds, twigs, sand and gravel, copper and brass.  I make contemporary and abstract landscapes, relief portraits and scenes.  See my website here.

Sue Latta

I am a mixed media sculptor. I make things. I have made things for as long as I can remember. I can't not make things. I use such materials as steel, rubber, resin, rawhide, cast aluminum, glass, found objects, photographs, wood and paper. The goal of the work is to create sculptural forms that are emotive as well as visceral, work that pulls you in and asks more than it answers.

Pam McKnight

I have been painting and making art all my life. As a collector of miniatures and quirky found objects my current passion is combining those objects into fun and whimsical works, thereby upcycling and giving them a second life.

Martin Wilke

I have always drawn. At an early age drawing supplies were generally available when painting or sculpting supplies were not.  I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wayne State College in 1968. I then taught art in the Michigan Public School system. After 6 years in northern Colorado, I moved to Idaho and I have lived in Boise ever since.

Tobias Cresci

A quotation from Max Ernst express his thoughts:

"Painting is not for me either decorative amusement, or the plastic invention of felt reality; it must be every time: invention, discovery, revelation."

E. Rose Elkovich

I prefer to paint en plein air from life on location and create both quick studies from which to enlarge upon at my garden studio and/or complete a small piece alla prima that day. I am fond of colorful renditions with a dramatic flair for composition and values. Frequently I find landscapes of memorable places that inspire me but enjoy adding figures or doing portraits and still lifes as well. I currently use oils because I love the texture and glisten they provide. Click here to visit my website.

Gerilyn Feustel

While living in Japan with my husband in the military, I was intrigued with the work of a well known Japanese artist. That was my introduction to painting in oils. We transferred to Italy, which was an opportunity to spend 3 years painting with great teachers.

Returning to Idaho, I showed my work with the original Ambercrombie & Fitch, which in those days was a safari outfitter. It was a great place for displaying my wildlife painting.

Kathy Harrison Mahn

I am a painter who envisions subjects as they exist in light, shadow and space. The human figure is the major element in most of my work. I gain insight and energy by drawing models from life.  My goal is to translate the unique beauty of everyday life through gesture and composition.

Ken Levy

As a professional photographer

and writer, I relish the challenge of ever-renewing discovery.  Capturing the intensity of river rafters wrestling with roaring Class IV rapids, telling the stories of Appaloosa horse breeders, or capturing history before it slips away... is life.

Check out my galleries of life at my website or contact me at ken@kenlevymedia.com

Diane Ronayne

Mike Shipman

I’ve been photographing and making art most of my life. Self-taught, with a degree in wildlife biology, my interests are varied and far reaching. What you see in my work is how I view and interact with the world in all its forms and interconnectedness; it’s as much my exploration as it is yours. I also teach photography classes and lead workshops.

More work and schedules are on my website.
